Allant Group opt-out privacyportal-cdn.onetrust.com

How to remove yourself from Allant Group

Allant's privacy policy gives three routes to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data: an online request portal, privacy@allantgroup.com, or (800) 367-7311. It asks for your name, address, phone and email.

On average, Serus sends about 184 removal requests per person, 89% of them to data brokers, so expect Allant Group to be one of many.

How to opt out of Allant Group

  1. 1

    Pick a route

Allant's privacy policy lists the Privacy Request Portal, email at privacy@allantgroup.com, and phone at (800) 367-7311.

  2. 2

    Give your details

The policy asks for your full name, address (city, state, ZIP), phone number and email address.

  3. 3

    Expect a reply

If Allant can't fulfill a request, the policy says it will tell you within 10 days of receiving it, with the reason.

  4. 4

    Use industry tools too

The policy also lists the ANA/DMA opt-out and the National Do-Not-Call Registry. Allant says it honors opt-outs made through ANA/DMA services.

Watch out for

  • If Allant can't verify your identity or work out which information is yours, it may not be able to comply.
  • An authorized agent can file for you with written authorization signed by you.

Does it come back?

Allant doesn't publish a relisting policy. It honors ANA/DMA opt-outs, so registering there adds a second layer.

Your rights

California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.

California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.

Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
