Clearout.io doesn't say how long removal takes. Under California law, a business has 45 days to act on a deletion request (15 business days for an opt-out of sale).
How to opt out of Clearout.io
- 1
Email us@clearout.io
Say which email address or details you want deleted. The GDPR page names this address for access, deletion and correction, and for its data protection officer.
- 2
Use the address from the GDPR page
Some Clearout pages show the address as "[email protected]", which is the site hiding it from scrapers. The real address is us@clearout.io.
- 3
Unsubscribe from marketing too
Clearout's privacy policy says you can use the unsubscribe link in its messages or email the same address to be removed from its database.
Watch out for
- Clearout's FAQ says files customers upload are kept for no more than 30 days. A deletion request doesn't change what a customer already holds in their own lists.
- The privacy policy and GDPR page are older pages, so check the current wording if you send a legal request.
