How to opt out of StateRecords.org

  1. 1

    Search yourself on StateRecords

Look up your name on staterecords.org and keep the URL of any record about you.

  2. 2

Open the Do Not Sell/Share form

Go to the Do Not Sell/Share page. The page says it honors Global Privacy Control signals, so turning on GPC in your browser sends the same opt-out automatically.

  3. 3

Use the other request form for deletion

For requests other than opting out of sale or sharing, the site points to a separate TrustArc request form.

  4. 4

Email InfoPay if you need a person

The California registry lists compliance@infopay.com and 800-309-9351 as InfoPay's contact. The registry also lists staterecords.org/optout as the site's opt-out page.

Watch out for

  • The opt-out form handles opting out of sale or sharing. Deletion goes through a separate form.
  • InfoPay's California registry filing reports 18,145 deletion requests in 2024, 13,640 complied with in whole and 4,505 denied, so keep your confirmation.
  • Each InfoPay site lists its own opt-out page in the registry, so a request on one site may not clear you from the others.
