How to remove yourself from USWARRANTS
US Warrants is a private warrant-search site, not a government source. Its Privacy Request Portal at uswarrants.org lets you ask to know, correct, delete or opt out of the sale of your data, though the portal describes that as your user data from the site.
On average, Serus sends about 184 removal requests per person, 89% of them to data brokers, so expect USWARRANTS to be one of many.

USWARRANTS doesn't say how long removal takes. Under California law, a business has 45 days to act on a deletion request (15 business days for an opt-out of sale).
How to opt out of USWARRANTS
- 1
Open the portal
Go to uswarrants.org/request-portal-2 and scroll past the warrant search box to the privacy form.
- 2
Choose a right
The portal offers four: know, opt out of sale, correct, and delete.
- 3
Submit, or email instead
The page also accepts requests by email. It asks you to say which type of request you're making and include everything needed to act on it.
Watch out for
- The portal describes the data it manages as your email address, search history, payment records and what you gave the site. It says nothing about taking down a warrant record shown in search results.
- The site says it isn't affiliated with any government agency, and it gathers records from third-party sites it doesn't control, so removal here doesn't touch the original record.

Your rights
The portal says it offers these rights "pursuant to applicable state data privacy laws."
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
