How to remove yourself from PLEXUSS
Plexuss lets you opt out of the sale of your information with the form at the bottom of plexuss.com/ccpa-opt-out. Sharing your details with a college you contact through the site can't be switched off. Questions go to compliance@plexuss.com or 925-693-8444.

Watch out for
- Plexuss says it doesn't let you opt out of sharing when you tell it you're interested in a college or education partner, because that sharing is the point of the platform.
- The opt-out covers sales as California's law defines them. It isn't an account deletion.
- If you're a California resident under 16, Plexuss says it won't sell your information unless you opt in when you create an account or later choose to allow it.

Does it come back?
Plexuss doesn't publish a relisting policy. If you opt out and later express interest in a school on the platform, that interaction is shared with the school.
Your rights
Plexuss's notice is written for California residents under the CCPA, which gives you the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
