How to remove yourself from Salesforce
Salesforce is mainly a CRM vendor, so most data about you sits in a customer's account, not Salesforce's own records. For your own request, use Salesforce's privacy request form or privacy@salesforce.com. Salesforce says it aims to respond within one month.
On average, Serus sends about 184 removal requests per person, 89% of them to data brokers, so expect Salesforce to be one of many.

Salesforce doesn't say how long removal takes. Under California law, a business has 45 days to act on a deletion request (15 business days for an opt-out of sale).
How to opt out of Salesforce
- 1
Work out who holds the data
If Salesforce processes your data on behalf of a customer, Salesforce says to ask that customer directly. Salesforce answers for data it holds itself.
- 2
Submit the privacy request form
Use the privacy request form. It covers access or download, transfer, deletion, objecting to processing and correcting inaccuracies. Anything else goes through a separate Privacy Inquiry form.
- 3
Or email or phone
Salesforce also takes requests at privacy@salesforce.com and by phone on +1-800-931-7365, as listed in the Contacting us section of its privacy statement.
- 4
Appeal if refused
Salesforce's privacy statement says it tries to respond to legitimate requests within one month, and you can appeal a refusal by following the steps in its response.
Watch out for
- Customer-held data isn't Salesforce's to delete. The customer who uploaded it decides.
- Cookie and ad tracking choices are separate: Salesforce points to Cookie Preferences in its website footer.

Does it come back?
Salesforce isn't a people-search site and publishes no relisting policy. If a customer adds you to its account again, that customer holds the new record.
