How to remove yourself from Valid Number
Valid Number is a reverse phone lookup site. There's no general opt-out page: you open the page for your phone number, click Opt-Out at the bottom and follow the verification instructions. It can refuse requests it considers fraudulent, abusive or unverified.
On average, Serus sends about 184 removal requests per person, 89% of them to data brokers, so expect Valid Number to be one of many.

Your rights
The privacy policy says California residents can ask for access to or deletion of their data through the same opt-out process, with no account needed.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
Canada: PIPEDA. You can withdraw your consent to a company using your personal information and ask it to correct what it holds. If it doesn't respond, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
