How to remove yourself from PropertyReach

Also known as Property Reach, L.P.

PropertyReach takes opt-out and deletion requests through its Privacy Portal or by phone at (877) 551-9855. It says it applies an opt-out to publicly available contact details as a courtesy, but that won't remove data from the original public source.

On average, Serus sends about 184 removal requests per person, 89% of them to data brokers, so expect PropertyReach to be one of many.

How to opt out of PropertyReach

  1. 1

    Open the Privacy Portal

PropertyReach links its Privacy Portal from its notice at collection. The California registry gives propertyreach.com/privacy-rights as the rights page.

  2. 2

    Choose the request type

Pick opt out of sale or sharing if you want your public contact details suppressed, or delete if you want the data it holds about you gone. Members who want account data deleted use the same route.

  3. 3

    Give identifying details

PropertyReach verifies you by matching what you submit (for example name, email address, phone number) against what it holds.

  4. 4

    Prefer the phone?

Call (877) 551-9855 for any of the request types.

  5. 5

    Send the request again later

PropertyReach itself recommends refreshing your opt-out from time to time.

Watch out for

  • The opt-out covers publicly available information only as a courtesy. PropertyReach says state privacy laws don't cover that data, and the request won't remove it from the original source, so it can still show on other websites.
  • New public records come in regularly, so your details can reappear in its data even after an opt-out.

What PropertyReach holds about you

  • Full name and aliases
  • Current address
  • Address history
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Property records

What PropertyReach is known to collect, not a check of your listing.

Does it come back?

It can. PropertyReach says it regularly receives new public records, so publicly available information may appear in its data again, and recommends periodically refreshing the opt-out request.

Your rights

PropertyReach is on the California data broker registry. If you live in a US state with a privacy law, you may be able to ask what it holds, correct it, delete it or opt out of sale and sharing.

California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.

California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.

Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.

Frequently asked

Does PropertyReach have a form or only a phone line?

Both. The notice at collection lists the Privacy Portal online and (877) 551-9855 by phone for know, delete and opt-out requests.

Does opting out remove me from other property sites?

No. PropertyReach says the request won't remove data from the original source, which may feed other websites.

Is LeadSherpa the same company?

The California registry entry lists LeadSherpa as a DBA of Property Reach, L.P. Check LeadSherpa separately if you find yourself there.
