How to opt out of Deluxe
- 1
Open the Do Not Sell page
Go to Deluxe's Do Not Sell or Share My Information page in its Privacy Center. It sits at deluxe.com/policy/donotsell.
- 2
Write to privacy@deluxe.com
Say you want to opt out of Deluxe selling or sharing your personal information. Include your name, your email address and/or mailing address, and a daytime telephone number, which are the details Deluxe asks for.
- 3
Send it from the address you want covered
Use the email address you gave in the message, so Deluxe can match the request to your record.
- 4
Keep a copy
Save the sent message. Deluxe's page doesn't describe a confirmation or a waiting period, so your copy is your proof of the date.
Watch out for
- The opt-out covers selling or sharing for promotional or targeted advertising with affiliated, unaffiliated or non-agent third parties. Deluxe's page doesn't say it removes your record altogether.
- There's no form: the request is a plain email, so you give your own details as text.

Your rights
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
